Educator & Choreographer

About Caroline

I am a BFA graduate of Point Park University, where I trained in a conservatory program rooted in technical excellence, versatility, and performance artistry. My foundation is deeply technical, but through continued professional training and performance experience, my work has evolved to prioritize style, musicality, and intentional movement.

I have worked with dancers ages 7 through adult, set competition pieces, created work on collegiate peers, and taught class to both developing and professional artists. After dancing on cruise ships, dancing behind the camera and stages, serving as a dance competition judge, and constantly being a student myself, I have a well-rounded understanding of studio, competitive, and professional dance landscapes.

What Inspires Me?

My Intentions As a Teacher & Choreographer

I know what it feels like to grow inside both limiting environments and empowering ones.

I’ve experienced spaces where fear was used as motivation, and I’ve experienced spaces rooted in trust, freedom, and belief. The difference is everything.

The environments that changed me were the ones that made me feel safe enough to take risks. Safe enough to fail. Safe enough to fully express. That freedom is what allowed me to grow not just as a dancer, but as a human.

That is what inspires me now as an educator.

Dance is more than steps.

Technique is the foundation, but intention is what makes movement matter. My goal is to help dancers understand the why behind what they are doing, not just the execution. When dancers understand purpose, they move differently. They perform differently. They believe in themselves differently.

I strive to:

  • Build technically strong, versatile dancers
  • Develop artistry, musicality, and performance quality
  • Encourage emotional authenticity and confidence
  • Create a safe, motivating, and joyful environment

I believe dance is therapy. It is release. It is storytelling. It is joy. It is one of the most powerful tools we have to process, connect, and grow.

What sets me apart is my warmth combined with ambition. I care deeply about cultivating strong, expressive artists while also providing tangible, practical tools they can immediately apply in rehearsal, competition, and professional settings.

My intention is simple:
To leave dancers stronger, seen, and more confident than when they walked in. All for the joy and for the love of dance!

Competition & Industry Insight

As a competition judge with Kids Artistic Revue (KAR, Ultra and Rainbow Dance Competition),I have firsthand insight into what stands out on stage. From technical execution to performance presence and choreography composition. I also have the tools, creativity, and industry insight instilled in me from my higher education, conservatory, and professional experience. My Work

“Growing Pains” Point Park University’s
Student Choreography Project

The presented video is Caroline’s full length work presented at Point Park University’s theatre at the Student Choreography Project in 2022. Her work, featuring Jessie Eastlund, Julia Flesch, Kaylan Gardner, Julianne Horowitz, and Brooke Thompson, is a commercial heels piece showing the cycle of personal growth humans experience: Growing up is realizing that progress within oneself and in life is non-linear. There are moments that feel lonely and impossible, followed by experences that open our eyes to the beauty in ourselves and in this life we get to live. This piece is a representation of the constant cycle of growth: overcoming. To remind you to hold on, the low is temporary. Growing Pains are those transformative moments that endlessly shape us into truer versions of ourselves.
